Intestinal Parasites

Whipworm       

Whipworm eggs are passed on through feces. The eggs can survive for years in the soil and are transmitted through ingestion. Symptoms include bloody diarrhea, anemia, dehydration, weight loss, and appetite loss.

                                                

 

Hookworms     

Hookworm eggs are passed on through the feces. The eggs are transmitted by ingestion and by penetration through the skin (most commonly through the feet pads). Symptoms include weight loss, anemia, and diarrhea.             
                                                   

Roundworms  

Roundworm eggs are passed on through the feces.  Roundworms can be transmitted through ingestion, eating other animals (rodents), and through the mother.
